I wish the reviewers would grow up a little and start by saying kiddy port, which would mean mouse/keyboard and 4k is unoptimized garbage or nonexistent. Why don't they? Some of them are in their 40's?

Most reviewers are absolutely terrible, never give us any of the technical info like frame rates, resolution support etc

this was like 90% of the reason why I ditched 21:9. I loved my ultrawides (had three for a 7680X1080 display) but develpers would not support it.

It works but you will need to edit the exe with a hex editor. Btw hud will remain 16:9 no big deal.

This is what you need to do.

Step 1 Download a hex editor (just google it im using HxD editor)

Step 2. Open HxD and drag Headlander.exe into it

Step 3. Press ctrl+f to open find (or Search -> find) then change Datatype to "Hex-values" and search for "39 8E E3 3F"


Step 4. "39 8E E3 3F" will be highlighted simply hit the left arrow key until you get to 39 and replace with the value for your aspect ratio. Don't delete or anything just move to 39 and start typing, it will replace as you go. (5760x1080 = AB AA AA 40 / 3440x1440 = 8E E3 18 40 / 2560x1080 = 26 B4 17 40) (In this game you will have to do this process 4 times. So keep searching and replacing until its done)


Step 5. Press ctrl+s to save (or press the floppy disc icon) it will automatically save a backup of the original as Headlander.exe.bak in the original folder.

Really, stupid? I like to start a game without worry if it will play in 21:9....

yeah sounds stupid to me. If you have a 21:9 you can still play 16:9 games exactly the same as if you had a 16:9 monitor.
